"Made possible by a grant from Mobil". Anyone who has watched public television has heard these words. Luckily, for poster collectors and graphic enthusiasts, posters to remind us of these shows were also commissioned by the Mobil Corporation. Many of these shows are still running today.

Even better, Mobil had the foresight to select some of the most important and contemporary graphic artists of the day execute these posters. Names which are immediately recognizible include Paul Davis, Ivan Chermayeff, Edward Gorey and Seymour Chwast, who along with Milton Glaser, founded the Push Pin Group in New York.
